Google Addresses

Aino includes Google search for addresses and places, where users can find a location by typing an address or place name directly in the prompt. The result can be placed on the map as a point and used as the starting geometry for a spatial analysis.

This is useful when the user does not already have GIS files and wants to start from a human-readable location, business name or address.

What an address search result contains

An address result is the simplest possible spatial dataset: a location name or address converted into a point on the map. This lets a team start analysis from a prompt instead of a GIS file.

Data shape: one point, a name, an address or place label, and the source tag that identifies the result as Google address data.
