Global Terrain: Zenodo EDTM

Zenodo is a general-purpose open repository developed under the European OpenAIRE program and operated by CERN. EDTM is one of the datasets provided through Zenodo, containing a global digital elevation model.

Aino uses terrain and elevation data to understand slope, topography and physical constraints that may affect site feasibility and planning assumptions.

What a terrain cell contains

A terrain dataset breaks the ground surface into cells or areas with elevation values. Aino uses those values to show where the land is higher, lower or potentially constrained by slope.

Data shape: hexagons or raster-derived areas with elevation values and geometry that can be mapped against a site.
